Lamp Analysis
One of the most overlooked areas in the investigation and reconstruction of a crash, especially night time crashes, is the examination of a vehicle’s lights and an analysis of the lamps.
During our vehicle inspections, Collision Specialists experts remove and photograph each lamp to show its condition at the time of the inspection, and then its operational state can be determined through further analysis of that information.
This analysis can help to determine whether or not a vehicle's lights were in use at the time of the collision, and will document the presence of “Hot Shock”, “Cold Fracture” or other anomalies in the lamp filaments. This could provide crucial information for your case about brake applications, the use of turn signals, or even whether or not the headlights were in use.
