Bryan Hawkins
Senior Accident Reconstructionist
Bryan Hawkins began his law enforcement career with the DeKalb County Police Department in March of 1993. In 1996, Mr. Hawkins was assigned to the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit. While assigned here, he conducted inspections of motor carriers and their drivers for compliance under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (49 CFR). Mr. Hawkins is CVSA Certified in the North American Standard for Level I, II & III inspections, as well as Cargo Tank and Hazardous Materials.
In 2004, Mr. Hawkins was assigned to the Traffic Specialist Unit, which is responsible for investigating all hit and run, serious injury and fatal vehicle collisions in the unincorporated area of DeKalb County. While assigned to this unit he completed all the accident reconstruction and investigation courses offered by the State of Georgia and he has been certified by the State of Georgia as an Accident Reconstruction Specialist.
Mr. Hawkins retired after 26 years of dedicated service and during this time he investigated over 5,500 collisions, which included the reconstruction of nearly 1000 serious injury and/or fatal collisions.
In 2012, Mr. Hawkins joined Collision Specialists, Inc. and he has continued applying his vast knowledge in the field of accident reconstruction for the private sector. Mr. Hawkins maintains a valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License, CDL, with endorsements and he has been recognized by courts as an expert in the field of accident reconstruction.
